One Day Project

The studio was tasked with creating an new logo for the University of Cumbria, I first started working with a book shape which turned into this abstracted pattern of hills and lakes. I feel this pattern also gives a sense of energy and contemporary feel which is great, as the university is a newly formed one. Below is to show we convert from the original logo to our new one in four steps.

Work - Whisky Packaging (D&AD)

Ploral Scotch Powder

Disguised as a Medical Packet, the purpose of this product is getting Powdered Whisky into nightclubs to save you money on the extortionate price of drinks! Put Ploral in your handbag and the bouncer wont look twice at it!

Galore Scotch Powder Pouches

Disguised as a feminine hygiene product, you will be able to get your Powdered Whisky into nightclubs without any bother. Male bouncers are particularly sensitive to feminine hygiene products and wont try to inspect the contents.

Travel - Edinburgh

Today I got a free ride up to Edinburgh with the foundation graphics course at University. I decided to set myself a challenge and go to as many places on the given list as I could. I only failed to go 2 out of 12, which wasn't bad. Anyway here are some of my images off my phone.

Featured - University Prospectus

A piece of my first year work has been published in the University of Cumbria's Prospectus, being image number 7. This work was looking at the process of image making through collage and deconstruction.

Travel - Hadrian's Wall

Yesterday Frances Hawkins, Ieva Boo and I, was up on Hadrians wall exploring. Here are some pictures off my 35mm SLR, we were just north of Haltwhistle educating Ieva on the Roman Empire. Also Frances was using a large format camera, so I got to be the assistant for the day.

Work - Birthday Card

With a small amount of time, I got to go wild with turnip stamps and inks for Jade's birthday card. I am really getting in with patterns at the moment, so watch this space.
