Nan's Birthday Card

Just playing around with some new pens I recieved for Christmas and food colouring. I like the strokes which form the body of the bird and the background where I have left the colouring to settle naturally.

Final Design - Avocado - Supermarket

This was my Pattern out come, I am overal pleased with it. The Avocados should of been scaled up however I am super pleased with the colouring I chose for it. I feel it expresses the history of the fruit.
I found the food photography so hard, however I am pleased with the image. This image is to dark on one side, but this has helped me see problems with lighting for next time I do any still life work.

These were my Surreal pieces, they are aimed at children and I just wanted to turn the Avocado into some kind of Dinosaur/animal that children might like. I personally really like them and would love to make some knitted or stuffed version of them.
Here is my Illustrative piece and I want to express what kind of health and vitamin benefits Avocados actually had. So I came up with this really simple maths equation however I feel it would of worked alot better if the Pills looked more like Pills. So I needed to improve on the quality of line represented.

Layout Pads (Selection)
The layout pages are my favorite part of any project but with this one I got really carried away. I would of uploaded them all up but it would of just absorbed the whole site. I really love the energy and passion expressed from the colours and drawings. 72

Secondary Research

This project we had to do secondary research into our chosen fruit and vegetable then present it in a personal way. I chose to do all mine in hand drawn/painted so I could control every element of my pages. Here is a selection of pages out of the ten. 65

Just a quick mock up of a website. I do not overally like the design however I do like the drawing of the Avocado I created in illustrator.

Primary Research - Avocados + Spring Onions

This project was about understanding our chosen fruit and vegetable, as you cannot design for something if you do not understand the object. In this project i struggled with drawing and colour but managed to have fun within that hardship. I really enjoyed using colour once I got into it and trying to get the form correct and also trying to get composition to work. 62

We were not allowed to use language or anything like that. Which I found difficult at first as I needed to explain that Air Beds are portable and are used to lye on. So the top section describes that, However this piece needs a large compositional deceive to make it one storyline instead of two stories. 58

This project we were given a list of subjects that we had to make an normal visual piece for and an abstract type representation of the subject matter. I did the Morning after, Poetry of speed, Supermarket blues and Corporation Road. I really like my sketch book pages for this project as I feel they are full of energy and passion however i didnt translate that passion to the final pieces. So I have learnt that I need to keep the motivation until then end. 62

Perspective - technical Skills

Just a couple of pages out of my Layout Pad for Perspective, this project was all about learning how to draw anything, and how everything and anything can fit into a cube. 58

Colour -Awake to sleep

Here we had to make a storyboard for a thing we are going to make in aftereffects. This is mine, however i am going to change a couple of elements. For example but a twist at the end, so maybe the 'A' gets stung or the tree is chopped down. Also i am going to change the 'b' into a swarm that annoys the the 'A' who is trying to sleep.
